I would like to be notified when more information on DTV visa is available

do somebody know if this would be i use before end of august? I already have my flight ticket booked but if it takes to long and its not ready i need to proceed with a ed visa in half july.

Maksym

from 15th of july.

If you're already coming just enter visa exempt for 60 days then figure out how to get the DTV. Then do a visa run to apply for it.

Anonymous

True! but i already got 2 border runs this year, so im not sure if thats possible, i go back to my home country so im not sure if those maximum 2 borderruns restart again.

Anonymous

Those only count for visa exempt. If you have a visa you can bounce as many times as your visa allows. IE if you got your DTV, bouncing is allowed (and technically needed to start the visa)

And since you would be working and earning an income in Thailand they'll even give you a discounted income tax rate.

Pau

Thank you.

Was there an update in there other than the 60 visa exemption and the DTV visa are still in the works?

Anonymous

Thank you for updating, was worried this was dead

Sam

When will we get a update? I cant find anynew info!

Anonymous

So we can't get this visa yet, wtf. Is this even going to happen?

Anonymous

Looks like never. Might be just for internal political games. I hope not.

Anonymous

It will happen, but this is typical Thailand. If they say something will happen in a month, then most likely it will be 3 months

Swenser

No. Won't happen .

Lol. So some city in Japan updates a pricelist and you say that is progress. Lol

Anonymous

It is not a city in Japan. It is the Embassy of Thailand in Fukuoka, Japan. In other words, it is the representation of the country of Thailand in that place. Therefore, it makes sense to say “it appears things are moving forward,” since an official Thai organization has published updated information that mentions this visa.

Interested to know details application procedure.

Im self employed but not working for any company , am I still eligible for DTV?

Anonymous

This visa does not seem to have income requirements, only a requirement of 500k thb.

Tim

Still waiting for news on DTV or at least the 60 days Visa on Arrival option.

Looking good guys! Not cancelled yet :)

That feeling when “Government Spokesperson Chai Wacharonke reiterated that the DTV is slated for this month (June), and not July” but it’s the last day of June and there’s no news.
