can I apply for DTV if I have Belarus passport?

Anonymous

I think so

Bill Colwell

How many 180 day extensions can you get during the 5years

Anonymous

No limit. The limit is one extension PER ENTRY. So you could enter as many times as possible, and obtain one time extensions on those entries.

Anonymous

Be carful with that 180 days per year and check the taxes first that you have to pay in Thailand up to 35% from your worldwide assets!

I want to apply for a Thai DTV visa.

Anonymous

Then apply for one on your own at the .thaievisa.go.th website, or use an agency like thai visa centre to do it for you.

shifa

This just in: I confirmed that as an American I can apply for the DTV Visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh. This is the email response I got. They said: “Dear Sir/Madam, With regard to your inquiries, U.S. citizens can apply for the Destination Thailand visa (DTV) at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City. Best regards,” They also noted: “Nationals of Certain Countries are required to apply for a visa ONLY at Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country. However, those who are residing in Vietnam and holding The Vietnamese Residence Card are able to apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City by providing a copy of the Vietnamese residence card with legalization stamp from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.” What countries are these special ones that need the additional paperwork? : People’s Republic of China Bangladesh Nepal Pakistan Sri Lanka Algeria Egypt Iran Lebanon Libya Palestine Syria Yemen Central African Republic Cameroon Republic of Congo Democratic Republic of Congo Equatorial Guinea Guinea Ghana Liberia Nigeria Sao Tome and Principe Sierra Leone Somalia Sudan — meaning, if your country is not on that list, you 100% can apply for the DTV in Ho Chi Minh.

James

List is for online applications, when applying in person you can be from any allowed country (but may have additional scrutiny / requirements)

Hey, I am from Bangladesh and my Employer based in Netherlands. I work remotely from Bangladesh. I saw that Bangladesh fall under restricted countries. My question is-Can I apply for DTV visa? If yes, how? Thanks

Judit Bako

Hi! ☺️ I'm wondering with the DTV visa for Thailand, what do they mean music, art , festival?! Do they mean that you create sessions for others to join in? For example, I facilitate a Dance, movement meditation, does that count? Thank you, judit

Anonymous

Not it means you can attend a TAT sponsored event, and use that as a reason to qualify

Enzo

My family lives in Thailand but I’m 27. If for example my fathers wife submits a sponsorship letter would this be enough? And could I apply for example from Vietnam? What type of document do I need to indicate current location. I’m Dutch but I have Spanish residency. Would be really inconvenient for me right now to return to Spain.

If you are a south african and is staying in thailand how can you apply for a DtV visa without going back to south africa

Phillip

You can go to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Make an appointment with them and have the required paperwork. You might be asked for additional information.

I am living in Germany and have a remote contract with the company I am working for. Also I am studying in my masters remotely fulltime. I want to apply for the DTV Visa and have all necessary documents available. Since I will be in thailand less than 180 days I don't have to pay taxes. But is there social security contributions that must be paid in my specific case? And maybe someone knows where I can find more information around this topic, Im grateful for any hint. Thank you.

Anonymous

No further contributions to be paid.

Who told you that Iraq has difficult conditions and is not included in the application? I have an Iraqi person who obtained a visa from the Jordanian embassy and they asked him for normal papers like other nationalities. Please be careful when transferring the information because you are not an official page for the Thai immigration website

Anonymous

That's so old , that's why i told you do your research first , check this video and start from the 8th minute regarding the visa. https://youtu.be/vNAQJ-haVTc?si=pMXNezU2881lpxS6

How do I change the passport number on a visa? Because the visa you get is correlated with your first name + last name + passport number. I plan to get a 5-year visa (to Thailand) but my passport is only valid for less than 3 years. So I will have to change it sooner than the visa expires. There is no form on the evisa website to change the passport number. Has anyone tried to get this done?

Martin

You just need to present your old passport and new passport when entering Thailand. There is no need to transfer the DTV to your new passport.

george

is there any earnings requirement needed? i have a few hundred dollars of royalties coming in from some books I published during covid. but I don't know if this will be enough to apply... i have the savings no problem And I also have some medical issues I've been receiving treatment for already in Thailand. but it's not surgery or anything major don't know it makes more sense to apply for soft power or workcation

lamechellephotog

I think the earnings part just depends on which category of the dtv you're applying for. The nomad part you have to show work contracts? Soft power part you don't have to show earnings, just the 500,00 Thai baht. Seems with your medical procedures you'd apply for soft power, so no earnings needed to show.

george

yeah, i think you're probably right. The soft power route seems easiest in my situation. I just don't know if makes sense in the long run. hopefully I won't still need medical procedures done in 6 months time can I enter on softpower reasons this time, and then enter on workcation etc next time?

Anonymous

You might want to contact this agency. They helped me get mine (approved last week), and I was in a similar situation: https://tvc.in.th/line

My 70 year old mother is my dependent. Can I apply DTV for her? Or, I apply DTV for me and have to apply retirement visa for her? Would be nice if I can do DTV for her too.

Anonymous

She would need to independently qualify for the DTV. There is not a dependent option for non-spouse / child for this visa category.

Anonymous

Once the visa is 1st issued how much time do i have to enter, i am looking to go in December

Anonymous

The 5 years starts on your approval date, so you have 5 years until it expires. When you do finally enter you will get 6 months or until the last day of the validity (whichever is less).
