90 Day Reporting for DTV Holders

Immigration Requirements Guide

All foreign nationals staying in Thailand on long-term visas, including Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) holders, are required to report their address to Thai immigration every 90 days.

This is a legal requirement under Thai immigration law that applies regardless of visa type.

Here's everything DTV holders need to know about meeting this requirement.

Do DTV Holders Need to Do 90 Day Reporting?

Yes. All foreign nationals staying in Thailand on long-term visas, including Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) holders, are required to report their address to Thai immigration every 90 days. This is a legal requirement under Thai immigration law that applies regardless of visa type.

The DTV Online Reporting Challenge

Most DTV visa holders are unable to use the official online reporting system at https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/ because the online system requires you to have reported in person at least once. Every time you exit and re-enter Thailand, this resets your reporting status, requiring another in-person visit before online reporting becomes available again.

The One Exception

The only exception is if the DTV visa holder completes their one-time 6-month extension while remaining in Thailand. After this in-country extension, your subsequent 90-day report becomes eligible for submission through the official online system.

However, for most DTV holders who frequently travel or do not extend their visa in-country, online reporting is not an option. This means you must either:

  • Visit an immigration office in person every 90 days, or
  • Use a convenient service like ours to handle it for you

Consequences of Missing Your 90 Day Report

Failing to submit your 90-day report on time results in serious penalties:

  • ฿2,000 THB fine for each late or missed report, payable at immigration
  • Possible scrutiny: Late reports may result in additional questioning during visa extensions or re-entry
  • Police fines: If caught by police with an overdue report, fines can range up to ฿5,000 THB (but typically no more than this amount)
  • Immigration record: Late reporting creates negative marks in your immigration history

How Our Service Helps DTV Holders

Since most DTV holders cannot use the online system, we provide a convenient alternative:

  • We go in person: Our team physically visits immigration offices to submit your TM47 form on your behalf
  • No travel required: You don't need to take time off or visit immigration yourself
  • Tracked delivery: Your original stamped report is mailed to your address
  • Automatic reminders: We remind you before each deadline so you never miss a report
  • Perfect for digital nomads: Ideal for DTV holders who travel frequently and don't want the hassle of in-person immigration visits
