Visa de Destino Tailandia (DTV)

La Visa Digital de Nómada Definitiva

Última actualización: noviembre 5º, 2026 6:06 PM

The Destination Thailand Visa is a five-year, multiple-entry visa for remote work and for Thai soft-power activities such as Muay Thai, Thai cooking, and medical treatment. Spouses and children under 20 can apply with the holder.

Each entry allows up to 180 days. Immigration can extend that stay once, by up to 180 days. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs fee is 10,000 baht. You need 500,000 baht, or a sponsorship letter.

From 31 August 2026 an application also needs proof that you permanently reside in the country where you apply, and a criminal-record certificate. Applications submitted before that date keep the old document list.

Here is the current guide, with the official notices saved on this site.

What changed

The Destination Thailand Visa started on 15 July 2024. The Cabinet route is the 28 May 2024 decision, the public sheet is 29 May 2024, and the in-force summary is the July 2024 infographic. On 26 August 2026 the Department of Consular Affairs changed the documents. Those documents apply from 00:00 on 31 August 2026, Thailand time. The stay, the fee, and the 500,000 baht test are the same.

MFA new visa measures (announced, not yet in force)29 May 2024

This is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sheet that introduced the Destination Thailand Visa. It says the effective date would follow once the legal steps were finished.

  • The visa fee is 10,000 baht. Validity is 5 years, multiple entry. Each stay is 180 days.
  • Immigration can extend that stay once, for a period not exceeding 180 days.
  • Eligible people are remote workers, digital nomads, and freelancers; people joining activities such as Muay Thai, Thai cooking, sport training, medical treatment, seminars, and music festivals; and spouses and dependent children of DTV holders.
  • The sheet says you need proof of funds or a guarantee of not less than 500,000 baht.

MFA visa measures in force (July 2024 infographic)15 July 2024

The measures took effect on 15 July 2024. This infographic is the public document list from launch. The 31 August 2026 notice replaced one item on that list and added another.

  • Stay is 180 days per entry. The extension at the Immigration Bureau is one time, not exceeding 180 days per entry. After 180 days plus 180 days you leave Thailand and can re-enter on the same DTV while it is still valid.
  • Where to apply: a Royal Thai Embassy, a Royal Thai Consulate-General, or Thai e-Visa.
  • The launch list asked for a passport, a photograph, a document indicating current location, financial evidence of at least 500,000 baht, and proof of the purpose of the visit.
  • Workcation proof was an employment contract or employment certificate in the applicant's country, or a professional portfolio. Soft power proof was confirmation of the activity, or a hospital appointment. A spouse or child needed proof of the relationship.
  • The fee on this sheet is 10,000 baht. A post can collect that in local currency.

Consular Affairs notice on DTV documents26 August 2026

The Department of Consular Affairs changed the supporting documents. The notice is dated 26 August 2026. The new documents apply from 00:00 on 31 August 2026, Thailand time.

  • The document showing your current location is replaced by proof of permanent residence.
  • A criminal-record clearance certificate is added.
  • The e-Visa system was closed from 00:00 on 30 August 2026 and opened again from 00:00 on 31 August 2026, Thailand time.

Current DTV document listThailand e-Visa

This is the live national list. A post can still ask for more. Check that embassy or consulate before you pay.

  • Every category needs the passport biodata page, a photo from the last six months, proof of permanent residence in the country where you submit the application, and a criminal-record certificate from your country of nationality or from the country where you apply.
  • Money is the last three months of bank statements showing at least 500,000 baht, or the equivalent, or a sponsorship letter.
  • Workcation also needs an employment contract or employment certificate in your country, or a professional portfolio.
  • Soft power also needs confirmation that you will attend the activity, or a letter of appointment from a hospital or medical centre.
  • A spouse or child under 20 also needs the holder's DTV and proof of the relationship, such as a marriage certificate, birth certificate, or adoption certificate.
  • The visa is multiple entry and valid for 5 years.

e-Visa page

Embajada Real de Tailandia, Londres8 September 2026

London is one post applying the 31 August 2026 rules. Use it as an example of a checklist, not as the rule for every country.

  • The page still says 180 days per entry, one extension of not more than 180 days, then you leave and can re-enter on the same visa while it is valid.
  • London asks for proof of permanent residence in the UK, Ireland, or the British Overseas Territories, such as indefinite leave to remain or Irish long-term residency. A tourist stamp is not that document.
  • The police certificate must have been issued within 6 months of submission. That six-month limit is London's instruction.
  • London's fee is £300. Financial evidence on this page is bank statements of at least £12,000, which the embassy equates to 500,000 baht.
  • For an extension, London tells you to contact the Immigration Bureau once you are in Thailand.

Embassy page

Embajada Real de Tailandia, Vientián28 August 2026

Vientiane states the residence rule in plain language: to file there you must be a Lao national or a permanent resident of Laos, and you must file a criminal-record certificate.

  • The new requirements apply worldwide from 31 August 2026.
  • You must be a national or a permanent resident of the country where the application is submitted.
  • The criminal-record certificate comes from the authorities of your country of nationality or of the country where you apply.
  • An application that was submitted and paid before 31 August 2026 is not covered by the new requirements.

DTV extension of stayImmigration Division 1, Bangkok

This is the published checklist for extending a DTV at Immigration Division 1 in Bangkok. Another province can ask for a different set. The extension is not the same thing as the 10,000 baht visa fee.

  • Telework, other activities, and dependents are separate extension cases. You file form TM.7.
  • Telework asks for at least 500,000 baht in a Thai bank, a foreign bank that can be verified, or both, held not less than 30 days before the application, or a guarantee of at least 500,000 baht. It also asks for a contract or work history that is still in effect, proof of where you stay, and copies of TM.47 and TM.30.
  • For Muay Thai, cooking, sport, and other soft-power activities, Division 1 asks for a certificate and an extension request from the relevant government authority. A gym letter alone is not what this page lists. Medical care uses a certificate from a hospital or a government medical institute. Art and music exhibitions on this page use a certificate from TCEB.
  • A spouse or a legitimate child under 20 needs relationship documents, proof of residence, and copies of TM.47 and TM.30. This dependent extension list does not repeat the 500,000 baht test.
  • Other extension types on the same Immigration site publish a TM.7 fee of 1,900 baht. The DTV section itself does not restate a different fee.

Immigration page

Categorías de Visa DTV

Three routes. The document list below is the current e-Visa page. A Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate can ask for more than this. The old checklists on this website asked for six months of salary slips, a company registration legalised by an embassy, and, for a spouse, six months of residence in Thailand. Those items are not on the national list.

Trabajo-vacaciones

Digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent, or freelancer. The work is for an employer or clients outside Thailand.

  • Passport biodata page, and a photograph taken within the last six months.
  • Proof of permanent residence in the country where you submit the application.
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months with a balance of at least 500,000 baht, or the equivalent, or a sponsorship letter.
  • An employment contract or employment certificate in your country, or a professional portfolio.
  • A criminal-record clearance certificate from your country of nationality or from the country where you apply.

Thai soft power

The July 2024 list names these activities. Foreign talent sits under workcation, not under soft power. At extension, Immigration Division 1 asks soft-power applicants for a certificate from the relevant government authority, not only a letter from a gym or a school.

  • Muay Thai courses
  • Thai cooking classes
  • Sport training
  • Tratamiento médico
  • Seminars
  • Music festivals

Documents, on top of the passport, photo, residence proof, funds, and criminal-record certificate:

  • Confirmation that you will attend the activity, or a letter of appointment from a hospital or medical centre.

Spouse and children under 20

A spouse, and children under 20, of a DTV holder. They file their own application. The e-Visa list still asks them for the 500,000 baht test or a sponsorship letter.

  • Passport biodata page, a photograph from the last six months, proof of permanent residence where you apply, and a criminal-record certificate.
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months of at least 500,000 baht, or a sponsorship letter.
  • The DTV of the holder.
  • Proof of the relationship, such as a marriage certificate, birth certificate, or certificate of adoption.

Países con pasaporte elegible

The visa is not limited to this list of pages. These are the country guides on this website. From 31 August 2026 you apply in the country where you permanently reside, not in whichever post is easiest to reach.

Restricciones del país del pasaporte

The 31 August 2026 rule applies to every passport: you need proof of permanent residence in the country where you apply. The passports below have also faced stricter checks when the applicant was not applying from home. A post can still ask for more. Confirm before you pay.

Países restringidos
Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Comoros, Congo (DRC) , Congo (Republic of Congo), Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Kenya, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe
Países Altamente Restringidos
Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea
Citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq, and North Korea can face stricter requirements, and a post can ask for more documents.

Money and documents

500,000 baht is the published figure, from the May 2024 sheet through the current e-Visa page. The live page wants that balance on bank statements for the last 3 months, or a sponsorship letter. Payslips were an example on the July 2024 sheet. They are not a substitute on the current e-Visa wording. A post can still ask to see income.

The current national list does not set a minimum age for the main applicant. A dependent child must be under 20. Some posts have refused a main applicant under 20. Ask the post if that is you. A long overstay is still a reason a post or Immigration can refuse you.

Tarifa de Solicitud de Visa DTV

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs fee is 10,000 baht. Embassies and consulates collect it in local currency, so the amount on the payment screen is not always 10,000 baht and it is not a second fee. The fee is not refunded if the application is refused. See the July 2024 infographic.

Posts collect the fee in local currency. Across the posts tracked on this page, that converts to about ฿8,539 to ฿37,636.

Extension of stay

One extension per entry, not exceeding 180 days, at the Immigration Bureau. Then you leave. You apply on form TM.7. Immigration Division 1 in Bangkok splits the extension into telework, other activities, and dependents, and it can ask again for the 500,000 baht, for proof you are still doing the work or the activity, for TM.30, and for TM.47 if you have already stayed past 90 days.

The same Immigration site publishes 1,900 baht as the TM.7 fee on other extension types. The DTV section does not name a different fee. Approval is a decision by the officer. It is not automatic.

¿Qué es la Visa de Destino Tailandia (DTV)?

It is a five-year, multiple-entry visa for remote work and for a listed Thai soft-power activity, plus the spouse and children under 20 of a holder. It is not an immigrant visa and it is not a visa to take employment in Thailand. The government description is the PRD note of 17 July 2024.

You get up to 180 days each time you enter. One extension of up to 180 days is possible inside Thailand. You can keep using the visa until the five years end, as long as you still qualify and the passport allows it.

Trabajando en Tailandia con el DTV

Workcation is for work you do remotely for an employer or clients outside Thailand. The PRD note describes the holders as remote workers, digital nomads, and freelancers. It does not say you may work for a Thai employer.

A work permit is issued by the Department of Employment for work in Thailand, normally with a Non-Immigrant B visa. There is no Department of Employment notice that says a DTV replaces that permit. If the work is only for an overseas employer and does not serve a Thai client, that is the case the visa was opened for. If a Thai company is in the arrangement, assume you need a different visa and a work permit, and check before you start.

90-day reporting

If you stay in Thailand longer than 90 days, you notify Immigration on form TM.47. The Bangkok DTV extension list asks for a copy of that notification, and for the TM.30 residence notice. Read the practical notes on 90-day reporting for DTV holders.

Cómo Solicitar la Visa de Destino Tailandia

You apply online at Thailand e-Visa, with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate for the country where you permanently reside. You cannot file this visa from inside Thailand. The fee is paid to that post and is not refunded.

This website is not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The test here is a pre-screen. From 31 August 2026 the pre-screen does not replace proof of permanent residence or the criminal-record certificate, and it does not replace the checklist of the post that will decide the file.

Questions

Is the stay still 180 days?

Yes. Each entry is up to 180 days. Immigration can extend that stay once, for not more than 180 days. After 180 days plus 180 days you leave Thailand. You can come back on the same visa while the five years are still running. See the July 2024 infographic and the London embassy page, which was updated on 8 September 2026.

What changed on 31 August 2026?

Two documents. Proof of permanent residence replaced the old document that only showed where you were at the time. A criminal-record certificate was added. The fee, the 500,000 baht test, the 180-day stay, and the five-year visa did not change. An application submitted before 31 August 2026 stays on the old document list. See the Consular Affairs notice.

Can I apply from a country I am only visiting?

The national notice no longer asks for a document of current location. It asks for proof of permanent residence. Vientiane says a filing in Laos must be from a Lao national or a permanent resident of Laos. London asks for settlement in the UK, Ireland, or the British Overseas Territories. A tourist stamp or a short lease is not that document.

Do a spouse and children also need 500,000 baht?

On the current e-Visa list, yes, unless a sponsorship letter covers it. The old line that a dependent could skip the money test is not what the e-Visa page says. The Bangkok extension checklist for dependents does not repeat the 500,000 baht figure. That is the extension, not the visa application.

Is the extension fee 10,000 baht?

No. 10,000 baht is the visa fee in the May 2024 measures. The extension is a separate TM.7 application at Immigration. Other extension types on the Immigration Division 1 site publish a TM.7 fee of 1,900 baht. The DTV section does not publish a different number. This website used to say the extension might cost up to 10,000 baht and was not confirmed. That was not what the MFA sheet says.

Can I work for a Thai company on a DTV?

No. Workcation is remote work for an employer or clients outside Thailand. Soft power is the activity you were accepted for. A job with a Thai employer is a different visa, and it needs a work permit from the Department of Employment.

Does remote work on a DTV need a Thai work permit?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs built this visa for remote work, and the Department of Employment has not published a written exemption from the foreign-work law. Do not treat "no work permit" as a guarantee. If any of the work is for a Thai company or a Thai client, this is the wrong visa.

Can I switch to another visa without leaving Thailand?

The DTV rules published by the MFA do not offer that. After the extended stay you depart and can re-enter on the same DTV while it is valid. See the July 2024 infographic.

Statements are in yen. The balance is over 500,000 baht if you use yesterday's rate and short of it if you use the rate on the first page of the PDF. Which day do they convert?

6
Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I put the baht figure in a column myself, with the rate and the date, and I left the original pages behind it. They did not fight the arithmetic. They would have fought a missing page.

3
Yuki #A4C3El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I'll add the column. The original pages stay. Thank you.

Sponsored by my brother. His letter, his statements, 500,000 sitting there for four months. I don't have the balance. The e-visa page still shows sponsorship as a path. Has that path quietly died since August?

4
Dev #5757El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

August added residence proof and a police check. It did not delete the sponsorship line. His letter still has to look like a letter a bored officer will accept.

The 500,000 baht test did not change on 31 August 2026. Bank statements for the last 3 months, or a sponsorship letter, are still the two ways the e-visa page states it. What changed is proof of permanent residence where you apply, and a criminal-record certificate.

4
Nadia #5C07El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Back in. Third entry. 180 days on the stamp. Nobody mentioned the August document change at the airport, which makes sense, that change is for people applying, not for people who already have the visa. Writing it down before I forget how ordinary it was.

Good. Mine is in November. I wanted this exact boring paragraph.

Same in August, before the paperwork change. The change did not reach backwards into the sticker.

Extension this week, soft power, Muay Thai. Last year the gym letter was enough at the visa. Immigration asked for a certificate from the authority, not the gym. I did not have it. I have an appointment to get it. The 180 days do not pause while I learn a new office.

8
Kat #DAD4El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

That happened to a friend in September. Gym letter for the visa, government paper for the extension. Two different counters, two different folders.

Pim #6904El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Then I get the certificate before I go back. Standing there without it once was enough.

At the extension, soft power is being asked for a certificate from the relevant government authority, not only a letter from a gym or a school. The visa application and the extension are different checks. The extension can also ask again for the 500,000 baht, for TM.30, and for TM.47 if the stay has already passed 90 days.

Criminal record certificate. How recent do they want it? Mine is from May. The appointment is in October. I can get another one. I would like to know if May dies on the desk.

Hana K. #5AB7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

My post said issued within six months. Yours may say three. It's on the appointment email if they have decided to be specific.

Otto #55C9El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Email says six. May survives. I'll stop refreshing the police website.

British, living in Thailand on a different stay, family in the UK, no settled status there. London's page is asking for settlement in the UK, Ireland, or the overseas territories. I can't manufacture that. Where do people in my spot file now?

6
Ruth P. #EAAEEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Where you are a national or a permanent resident. If that is not the UK, London is the wrong window. Thailand is not a place you file the DTV from.

4
Leah M. #8F60El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Then I go home to file, which is a strange sentence when home is the problem. I'll use the passport country.

Whit #2AF7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I tried to file in Vientiane. I am not Lao and I am not a permanent resident. They would not take it. A tour of Laos is not a residence. Writing it here so the next person doesn't buy the bus ticket first.

7
Greg #5E2DEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

That reading was already in the Laos notice. Nationality or permanent residence. The Facebook version skipped those words.

4
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

A filing in Laos is for a Lao national or a permanent resident of Laos. Proof of permanent residence is the document the national notice asks for from 31 August 2026. A tourist stamp or a short lease is not that document.

Mateo #78A7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

It's the 31st. The e-visa page now asks where I am a permanent resident, and for a police check. Yesterday's bookmark still showed the old upload boxes. I had not submitted. I am not submitting today.

8
Yuki #A4C3El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Same page, new boxes. A lease in the upload slot for residence was rejected by the form, not even by a person.

Nora #5CB0El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Police certificate in my country takes weeks. The five-year visa did not get cheaper while I wait.

2
Cole B. #0A34El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Filed this morning, the 28th. Portal shows received. I did not upload a police certificate because the old list did not ask. If they send it back on Monday I will be unbearable.

9
Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Submitted before the 31st is the line in the notice. Keep the receipt. "Received" is the word you want on it.

4
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

Filed before 31 August 2026: the old document list. The new residence proof and the criminal-record certificate apply to applications from 31 August. Keep whatever the system gave you as proof of the filing time.

Cole B. #0A34El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Screenshot saved in two places. I will be normal about it. I will not.

Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Consular Affairs put out the change today. From 00:00 on 31 August, Thailand time, they want proof of permanent residence in the country where you apply, and a criminal-record certificate. The 500,000, the 180 days, the five years, and the 10,000 baht fee are the same. I am reading the notice, not a reel.

14
Cole B. #0A34El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I submit Friday. That is the 28th. Am I on the old pile if the file is in before Monday?

6
Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

If it is submitted before the 31st, the notice keeps you on the old list. Don't wait until Monday to find out the portal observes the holiday better than you do.

3
Hana K. #5AB7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Permanent residence is not a lease and it is not a tourist stamp. People who were going to file from a country they were visiting need to stop and read that line twice.

5
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

The Department of Consular Affairs changed the documents on 26 August 2026. From 00:00 on 31 August 2026, Thailand time, an application needs proof of permanent residence where you submit it, and a criminal-record certificate from your nationality or from the country where you apply. The stay, the fee, and the 500,000 baht test did not change. An application submitted before 31 August 2026 stays on the old document list.

Still seeing the old checklist on the embassy page and a rumour of a new one. I can file this week. I'd rather file on the list that is actually in force than on a screenshot.

7
Ruth P. #EAAEEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

File on what that post's page says today. If they publish a change, it will have a date. Rumours don't have a date.

4
Liam T. #857DEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I'm in the same spot. Booking the appointment, not the rumour.

2
Iris #06FBEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Someone in a group is saying the document list changes in August. No link. Just "a friend at an embassy". I filed in June. If they change the list, does my file move onto the new one?

5
Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Until there is a notice, it is a friend. If a notice comes, read who it applies to. "Already submitted" and "not yet submitted" are usually different piles.

3
Iris #06FBEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I'll wait for a PDF, then.

1
Mateo #78A7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Two years since they opened this. My first 180 plus 180 is finished in August. I leave, I come back, same visa. I want one person to say they actually did that in 2026 and the stamp was ordinary.

8
Nadia #5C07El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I did the second entry in January. Ordinary. The third entry is the one I haven't done. I'll write it up if it stops being ordinary.

4
Frank H. #24C7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Left and came back. New 180. Same sticker in the passport. No ceremony.

2
Bea #6563El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Passport expires March 2028. The visa would run into 2031 if they gave me five years from now. Do they shorten the visa to the passport, or do I just carry both and transfer later?

4
Hana K. #5AB7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

They issued mine to the passport expiry and told me to come back with the new passport for the rest. Ask your post. Don't assume the sticker outlives the book.

3
Bea #6563El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

I'll renew first. Easier than a second argument.

A client in Bangkok asked if I can invoice them for a small job while I'm here on workcation. The rest of my work is overseas. One invoice. I already know the answer and I am hoping the answer is more interesting.

6
Dev #5757El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

It's a Thai client. That's the line. Overseas clients are the case this visa was opened for. A Thai company in the arrangement is a different visa and a work permit. The size of the invoice doesn't change the client.

5
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

Workcation is remote work for an employer or clients outside Thailand. A job with a Thai employer, or work for a Thai client, is a different visa and needs a work permit from the Department of Employment. There is no Department of Employment notice that says a DTV replaces that permit.

4
June #2A41El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Is the extension 10,000 baht or 1,900? I have been told both, with confidence, by people who have not done it.

5
Otto #55C9El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

10,000 is the visa, paid when you apply, not refunded if they say no. The extension is a TM.7 at Immigration. I paid 1,900. I would still read the receipt before I argued with a stranger online.

4
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

10,000 baht is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa fee. The extension is a separate TM.7 at the Immigration Bureau. Other TM.7 extensions on the Immigration site are published at 1,900 baht. The DTV section does not publish a different figure. Approval is still the officer's decision.

4
Soren #92AEEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Extension at Chiang Mai. They wanted the 500,000 again, a fresh letter from the employer, and TM30. I had prepared a speech about the five-year visa. They wanted the folder.

7
Pim #6904El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

TM47 as well if you are already past 90 days on this entry. People forget that one and stand in the wrong correction queue.

3
Soren #92AEEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

They did ask. I had filed it. For once the boring admin was the part I had done.

I have a retirement extension and I want the DTV instead, without a flight. An agent said cancel the retirement, apply inside the country, collect the sticker at immigration. I would like that to be true. I do not think it is.

9
Ingrid #D10FEl correo electrónico ha sido verificado

You can hold the idea of both. You cannot use the DTV until you enter on it. Cancelling a retirement extension inside Thailand does not turn into a DTV stamp. I have not seen a published in-country conversion.

6
Anonymous #35C2El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

An agent told me the opposite last week and wanted the fee first. I'm glad I read this before I transferred anything.

2
THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agentAdministrador verificado

The DTV rules published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs do not offer a switch inside Thailand. The visa is issued abroad. To use it you enter on it. A retirement extension is a different stay. Cancelling one does not produce the other.

5
Frank H. #24C7El correo electrónico ha sido verificado

Then I fly. Better than a story from an agent who gets paid either way.
